[<< Prev] 1 2 3 4 5 [Next >>]NORD-OST Tour Ended on a Triumphant Note in PolandJune 28, 2003The last performance of the concert presentation of "NORD-OST: the Story of Love" took place on June 27th on the best Warsaw stage – the Congress Hall. RIA NOVOSTI correspondents state that the audience greeted the Moscow actors with standing ovation and there was a long applause at the end of the musical bringing the whole company to the stage four times. The performance of the NORD-OST actors in Warsaw prompted an outburst of public interest: all local periodicals felt bound in honor to devote articles to this presentation, and several ministers of the Polish government attended the concert. The language barrier was not a bar to understanding between the actors and the spectators, even in spite of the fact that the concert was traditionally presented in Russian: only the host’s words were simultaneously translated into Polish. The concert in Warsaw brought to an end another page in the history of the NORD-OST musical: it is expected that the spectators will have the next meeting with this musical only in the form of its touring version, the premiere of which is planned to take place in St. Petersburg next year.
