NORD-OST has returned from the North Pole
April 16, 2002
The creative team of the NORD-OST musical has returned home after the successful travel to the North Pole. On April 10, 2002, the NORD-OST flag with the undying motto of polar explorers - "To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield" - was hoisted in the extreme northern point of the Earth. In the silence of vast ice desert the actors sang "live" the heroic musical themes from NORD-OST.
You are welcome to take part in the press conference devoted to this travel. The authors of the musical, Georgii Vasilyev and Aleksei Ivaschenko, and the leading performers, Ekaterina Guseva and Andrey Bogdanov, will share their impressions from this travel with the participants of the press conference.
One of the surprises for the journalists: the tea made of melted snow brought from the North Pole.
The travel was organised by Ultra-Travel.
It is noteworthy that April 19, 2002, marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of V. Kaverin, the author of "Two Captains" - the novel on which the NORD-OST musical is based. That very day, the first Russian daily running musical NORD-OST will celebrate the half-a-year run since the premiere: about 200 thousand people have seen the musical during this period.
The press conference will take place at the NORD-OST Theatre Centre (Melnikov Str., 7) on April 18, 2002, at 2 p.m.
Please, contact Elena Malenkina, Darya Morgunova or Elena Shmeleva at tel. (095) 270-76-04or 784-77-86 till 12:00 on April 18, 2002, to get the accreditation.
